An old one from the archives – Summer 2006 with Maegan & Sherri taking a break by the bow river in Banff National Park.

I had an opportunity today to see the moon set over the Rocky Mountains shortly followed by the magic hour of sunrise lighting the mountain range.  Lake Moraine at 530am with no crowds, no sounds and just a smattering of golden light is a sight to behold.

From running around Race City to backroads meant for trucks and as an everyday driver, the Lexus keeps going and going.  My driving companion for the last seven years, it’s going to soon be time to say goodbye, but until then, there’s always one more road to make a run on.

First nature outing of the year! Yay for bikes, big horn sheep and a big thumbs down to taking a bike rack in the head. At least no bears or deer chasing me.

Some quick handheld test shots with 50mm F1.8 lens, handheld wandering around Banff.
